Domain dropcatching

Domain dropcatching

Every day, many valuable domain names are deleted and made available for registration. There are many reasons for domain deletion: the domain owner loses interest in the domain, invoices are missed because of a change in address, and so on. Whatever the reason, thousands of domains are released every day, including some very valuable and attractive names. Domain dropcatching is a service that lets you acquire these domains, by registering them in the very second that they are released.

How does dropcatching work?

It is very simple - you tell us which domains you want to catch. From then, our scripts start monitoring DENIC servers around the clock, to check what domains are being deleted. If they detect that a domain has become available, they re-register it instantly.

How do I know which domains to dropcatch?

We provide you with a very handy list of domains which are in the so-called "TRANSIT" state. They are domains which were not paid by the owner at the end of their registration period. Because the domain registrar did not receive the payment, the domains were placed in a special status to let the owner decide whether to find a new registrar or delete the domain. These domains are very likely to be deleted, because usually a missing payment indicates that the domain owner has changed address or simply lost interest in the domain.

Of course, not only these domains become deleted. Owners also delete domains before the payment is due, if they know that they will not be using the domain anymore. Therefore you order catching of any registered domain, if you believe it has a chance to be deleted. We will monitor this domain for you.

What happens when a domain is caught?

When we catch a domain, it becomes available to all people who ordered it. If there was only one order for the domain, the person who made the order must pay for the domain within 5 business days. If there were more orders, an auction is held between all interested customers. The auction lasts 3 days, and the domain is awarded to the person who offered the highest amount. Again, the auction winner must payt for the domain within 5 days.

Remember that ordering a domain catch means making a legally binding offer to purchase it. Therefore, if we catch your domain, it must be paid by you. You can pay via bank transfer, credit card, PayPal, Giropay, direct debit or Sofortüberweisung.
